DESCRIPTION
DiversHotSpot AB2011-12-12Report
Sha'ab Marsa Alam is an offshore reef formation not far from the main land of the south of Egypt.
On the far north side there is a steep wall of colorful soft coral where moray eel can be spotted while you are drifting by on the currents.
The west side is covered with a large coral garden which showcase a large variety of different corals in different formations.
In the south of the reef tall pinnacles raise up against the surface above. Close by on the southwest side a retired German dive boat called “Legend” is resting on the ocean floor. Sometimes small spinner dolphins swim by there.
On the far west side there is a swim through cave several meters wide inside. The entrance is big enough for two divers to enter at the same time.
